LiveView / CoBrowsing Description

There is a distinction between simply using the LiveView (i.e. Session Recordings) and CoBrowsing. The technology and script snippet is the same but usecase is different.

CoBrowsing

CoBrowsing is meant for collaborative browsing and is always bidirectional between agent and user. The user can trigger a CoBrowsing session although a LiveView session is already active.

It can be triggered by different actions:

  • By User
  • By Support Agent

LiveView

LiveView is only the visual view of the current visitor. It is mostly used for Session Recordings.

It can be triggered by different actions:

  • Generally activated (can be deactivated via optout button)
  • Optin per Function
  • per Agent (The agent can click at the session the data transfer is started)

Session Recordings

Session Recordings are the recording of a LiveView session. It can be replayed after the visitor closes the session.
